Furniture is where low moisture matters most
A carpet sits on a floor. A sofa is fabric stretched over foam and a wooden frame, and every one of those materials reacts badly to being soaked. Over-wet a cushion and the water goes somewhere it can’t evaporate from, which is how you end up with a musty couch, a water ring on the arm, or a rust mark bleeding up from a staple.
Dry foam avoids that by design. The lather is mostly air, so it cleans the face of the fabric without driving moisture into the padding underneath.
The tag gets read first. Upholstery carries a cleaning code: W for water-based, S for solvent only, WS for either, and X for vacuum only. Ron finds the tag before anything else. If your piece is X-coded, he’ll tell you so and won’t charge you to find out.

Pets and people
Most of what dulls a sofa isn’t a spill — it’s body oil and dander worked into the fibers over a few years, concentrated exactly where people put their heads and hands. That comes out well. Pet odor is treated at the source, and Ron will be honest with you about how much of it a cleaning will actually remove if it’s soaked into the foam.
How long it takes
A standard three-seat sofa takes about an hour. Most fabrics are dry enough to sit on within two to four hours; dense foam and heavy chenille take longer. Nobody has to plan around it overnight.

How soon can I sit on it?
Two to four hours for most fabrics. Dense foam cushions and heavy chenille sit at the long end of that.
Can you clean microfiber?
Yes, and it’s a good candidate. The water rings and blotchy patches people get on microfiber almost always come from over-wetting, not from the dirt. Less water, fewer problems.
Will it get rid of cat or dog smell?
Usually a lot of it. How much depends on whether the odor is on the fabric or down in the foam. If it’s in the foam, Ron will say so before he starts instead of taking your money and hoping.
Do you clean leather?
Yes. Leather is cleaned and conditioned rather than shampooed — a different process and different products from fabric. Mention it when you call so Ron brings the right thing.
